JK Rowling may have finished the original story of the “Boy Who Lived” in 2007, but it does not mean she is done with the Potter family once and for all.
The Hollywood Reporter broke the news that the writer unveiled a new short story titled “The Potter Family.” This will dive deeper into the past of the Potter’s. This comes in addition to her stage and screen projects set in the Hogwarts universe. This short story is all a part of the redesign of Pottermore.com.
“The new writing from J.K. Rowling sheds unexpected new light on the origins of the Potterfamily name, delves into Harry’s ancestry, explains how his grandfather quadrupled the family’s fortune and how the Invisibility Cloak became a family heirloom,” the side stated.
The site is home to her ebook versions of her famous novels, as well as the new stories added to the world. Rowling has protection over her digital publishing rights, securing her website and her works. You will also be able to see Fantastic Beasts & Where to Find Them in November 2016. If you’re willing to travel, Rowling has a stage play Harry Potter and the Cursed Child opening in London sometime next year.
